What is the AA Clamshell?

The BAXPCSBAB AA Clamshell uses 8 "AA" alkaline disposable batteries (not included) to power the Harris XG Series portable radios. This is equivalent to the OEM XPPA2H clamshell. Use the clamshell in place of rechargeable batteries when there is no power supply to charge the batteries. Typically found on emergency incidents due to ease of use.
